Nina

Nina is a very sweet and affectionate little dog who, at only about 3 years old and just under 11 pounds, was no longer needed at a puppy mill. Unlike most mill survivors, she is not fearful of humans. All she asks for is a lap to curl up on and someone to brush her—she enjoys being brushed so much that it puts her to sleep. Nina is paper-trained and clean in her crate. She just loves her foster mom and follows her everywhere. Nina gets along with everything: dogs of all sizes, cats, birds, and children. You couldn’t ask for a more easygoing small dog. Please call to meet Nina if she sounds like the perfect match you have been looking for.

BEN

This is beautiful Ben, a very loving and intelligent young dog with a mysterious past. Facing certain euthanasia, he was rescued from a pound where he arrived very emaciated. Ben is a Great Dane/Lab mix around 18 months to two years old and despite his condition, is quite strong at 76 pounds. He understands his sit and lie down commands and will even give both paws when asked but does require leash training. Ben has demonstrated that he has an awesome temperament and is quick and eager to learn. How sad that someone took the time to teach him things then appeared to tire of him once he got past the cute puppy stage—a story that is all too familiar. Ben

has been to the vet and is now on the road to recovery.

Unfortunately, in spite of all our hard work and promotion we do not have sufficient entrants to hold the event.  Therefor we regret to inform you that the event has been cancelled.

Brrrr  3degrees today and its only October 22!  Hopefully this winter will be less harsh than last but its not looking good right now…

Taffy is our Dogue de Bordeaux.  She came to us as a 12 week old puppy and we decided that the powder room was perfect as her “cage”.

We got a see through baby gate the fit between the sink and the door and kept her confined.  We tried to train her to be in the bathroom at night and when we went to work.  It didn’t work at night – she cried until we moved her bed upstairs.  But during the day we thought the system was working well.   Taffy had other ideas.  The cage was not working for her.

She soon learnt that she could stretch to the top of the baby gate and look over at our cat and our other dog.  Between Taffy on the gate and the way the sink was attached to the wall,  disaster quickly occurred.  We don’t know how the sink missed her and even with the gate down, she stayed in her room.  When our daughter came home she had to snap these pictures and send them to us at the office.  Taffy was removed from the bathroom, the sink was reattached to the wall and we got lovely pictures of our bundle of trouble.

This was also her one and only attempt at plumbing.
